Traveling nurses salaries varies from locations throughout the world.  It is all based on the cost of living in that area. For instance the salary for a traveling nurse in certain parts California would be higher then their salary in certain parts of South Carolina because the cost of living is higher in California is significantly higher then the cost of living In South Carolina.

The salary for traveling nurses also depends on their experience. A more experienced traveling nurse would draw a bigger salary then a traveling nurse with not as much experience. And it would depend on the nurses skills as well. A traveling nurse’s usual salary can range from $25- $35 per hour in the USA. But I believe that putting a $35 per hour limit on this is not always the case. A well experience, well skilled nurse can make much more in other countries, but this depends on the cost of living in these other countries as well.

There are many traveling nurse companies to agree with on the salaries but I would not suggest going with the first traveling nurse company that you may contact. It would be better to check with other traveling nurse companies to compare salaries. Do not stop with comparing salaries when contacting these traveling nurse companies, but try comparing their benefits as well. For instance, do they furnish free housing and do they have a traveling nurse recruiter to assist you?

Traveling nurse companies are big business, so do not settle for less then what you deserve. With so many traveling nurses in demand, there is no reason to settle for less. So remember to compare the rates and benefits of traveling nurse companies to get the best that you deserve.
